It has gotten to the point where I have just has to shelve the game because there is no action. In several of my games now playing different kingdoms, the game just rolls on and on with peaceful successions. Every succession only attracts some limited problems and usually is resolved peacefully. However with the latest DLCs and patches, the game seems. I remember that most of the time, I would be lucky to make it to the 1200s from a 1066 start date and survive. It always felt like a reward to hold it together for another generation. It was so much fun that it was always an exciting challenge to try and keep the kingdom or empire, sometimes Duchy, together. I could forge a kingdom quite easily but once the succession rolled around, the entire realm would usually fall apart to rival factions each claiming the throne for themselves. When I first started to play CK3, it was a really challenging and fun game.
